Welcome the 2012 Holiday Season at the Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade!

Join in the tradition of kicking off the winter holiday season in Colorado Springs at the 28th Annual Festival of Lights Celebration. This annual celebration organized by the Festival of Lights, Inc. includes a number of seasonal events, performances and more. The celebration beginning with the Festival of Lights Parade on December 1, 2012 at 5:50 PM.

This year’s celebration is themed “Home for the Holidays” and begins in downtown Colorado Springs at Tejon Street and St. Vrain Street. The parade will travel south on Tejon Street to Vermijo Avenue. The parade’s Grand Marshall is Forest Supervisor Jerri Marr, who played a crucial role throughout the Waldo Canyon Wildfires.

Taking place in downtown Colorado Springs, the Veterans Day Parade in Colorado Springs honors veterans and veteran organizations from throughout southern Colorado. The parade route runs south on Tejon Street from St. Vrain Street to Vermijo Avenue.

The 2012 Colorado Springs Veterans Day Parade is themed Iraq Veterans, Defenders of Freedom and will feature high school marching bands as well as Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops from throughout the region. High school floats reflective of the parade’s theme will also make there way down the parade route.
