Pikes Peak Center Brings Great Entertainment to Colorado Springs in August and September!

The Pikes Peak Center is the cultural events and performing arts center in Colorado Springs. Built by citizens of El Paso County and opened in 1982, the Center hosts more than 200 performances annually including comedians, dance companies, musicians, musicals and much more. After exciting finishes at the 2012 Tour de France and 2012 Olympic cycling events during recent weeks, it’s time to cheer on world-class cyclists as they take on the toughest road race in the United States – the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.

The Challenge is a seven-day cycling event that tests the ability of some of the best cyclists in the world on a course that changes in elevation by 2 miles. Beginning on August 20, 2012,  Stage 1 of the race kicks off in Durango. At Stage 5 on August 24, 2012 cyclists begin in Breckenridge and round out the day in Colorado Springs, just a short distance from the Cheyenne Mountain Resort!

There’s more to recreation at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort than our beautiful aquatics center, picturesque lake and numerous tennis courts.
