Whether you’re planning a trip to Colorado to specifically coincide with St. Patrick’s Day festivities or will be in town at that time, don’t miss out on St. Patrick’s Day in Colorado Springs when a whole lot of fun activities will be taking place.
Head downtown for a variety of active fun in Colorado Springs to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Ready for some racing? Bikers and runners will take to the road as part of the Grand Prix of Running events. The weekend begins with the St. Patty’s Sports Expo on March 11 and will be held at the Pikes Peak Center on Cascade Avenue. This is where cyclists and runners can fetch their packets and check out more than 25 exhibitors. The next morning starts at 8:30am with a 50K bike ride, followed by the Colorado Springs 5k race at 10am. There will also be a Leprechaun Fun Run taking place at 11am and finally the 32nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will kick off at noon.
This year there are more than 100 parade entries including flags, leprechauns, bands, cars, floats, firetrucks and much more. By far one of the biggest events in the city, all ages line the streets for the day as the parade winds all the way through the heart of downtown Colorado to the blissful sounds of bagpipes.
