Just a short drive from our resort, the zoo is home to a number of attractions including Encounter Africa and Rocky Mountain Wild.

Encounter Africa
Watch African lions, meerkats and black rhinoceros in this new exhibit that will feature an amphitheater, skybridge and African Tent. During your African encounter visit the zoo’s four resident elephants – Kimba, Lucky, Malaika and Jambo.

Rocky Mountain Wild
Get up close and personal with creatures native to the Rocky Mountains at this exhibit featuring moose,  otters, mountain lions, lynx, bears, porcupines, wolves and bald eagles.

Usher in the unofficial start of summer with an action-packed Memorial Day Weekend at Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs! Guests can enjoy a number of our favorite resort activities over the extended holiday weekend.

Take part in events at The Mountain View Restaurant like our Half Price Wine Thursdays, nightly S’mores After Dark on our Mountain View Terrace, or our Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Kidz Breakfast on Saturday morning. 

The Mountain View Restaurant is also offering an All You Can Eat Seafood and Endless Prime Rib Night on Friday and Saturday nights. Our All You Can Eat event is $32 for adults, $16 for kids 9 -12 with kids 8 and under free! After dinner, head to the Will Rodgers Lounge for Hot Summer Nights Live Music also on Friday and Saturday night.

Our resort pool is hosting a Friday night Old Colorado Ice Cream Social, the cost is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. Other pool events include our  Summer Splash at the Aquatics Center on Saturday afternoon, and our Saturday Night Dive-in Movies.
