Team Togetherness With Our Signature Meeting Experiences

3.15 Signature Meeting ExperiencesAccording to Harvard Business Review, business teams that are more positive are more productive. And, well-executed retreats or workshops can help increase team positivity. Here at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, our Signature Meeting Experiences have been designed to improve camaraderie, foster connections, and enhance your team’s overall dynamic.

The Amazing Race

Looking to add some healthy competition to your meeting? Inspired by the hit television show of the same name, our Amazing Race features both indoor and outdoor challenges that encourage team building and creative group problem solving. Each team of 8-10 members receives a map, instructions, and clues. Teams compete to complete the most tasks in the shortest period of time. Since this is a team-based competition, this experience requires a minimum of 20 participants.

Crafty in Colorado Springs Beer Tasting

With over 150 craft breweries, Colorado Springs is a beer brewer’s - and beer drinker’s - haven. Our Crafty in Colorado Springs meeting experience pays homage to this hometown tradition and shares a bit of local flair with attendees. Brewmasters and beer enthusiasts come together to offer insight on the science behind the brew. This exploration into hops and barley requires a minimum of 15 participants.

Glow Golf

Your golf game will be a real shot in the dark with this illuminating twist on the fairway. Glow Golf is a team-building tournament that challenges golf enthusiasts and makes golf feel more accessible for those who are new to the game. To encourage bright ideas, we light up the fairways and golf carts with glow sticks. Pins and golf balls are illuminated and there are even glow-in-the-dark bracelets and t-shirts available. After the game, teams can enjoy s’mores and an adult beverage by the fire. We do require a minimum of 20 participants to light up the night on our 18-hole championship Pete Dye Course.

Take your next company meeting to new heights with one of our Signature Meeting Experiences at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Our meeting and event specialists would be happy to help you plan your next corporate event. For more information on our Signature Meeting Experiences, contact us today

Take A Scenic Train Ride This Spring

3.8 Scenic train ride locationsRide the rails and see the stunning landscape of Colorado up close with a scenic train ride this Spring. The Pikes Peak Region of Colorado offers some of the most unique rail rides in the country. From the deep canyon of the Arkansas River to the summit of Pikes Peak, there are miles of beautiful railways to explore, all conveniently located within an hour of Cheyenne Mountain Resort.

Pikes Peak Cog Railway

For over 125 years, people have been ascending America’s Mountain via the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. The trip to the 14,115’ summit of Pikes Peak takes just over 3 hours. Along the steep journey, you’ll pass through a diverse range of conifer forests, including young Colorado Blue Spruce trees and ancient Bristlecone Pines estimated to be over 2,000 years old. Once the train passes the timberline, the open landscape makes it easy to spot native wildlife such as yellow-bellied marmots and bighorn sheep.

Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad

If your vision of a scenic train ride includes the puff of a steam locomotive, curving tracks, and a trestle, the Cripple Creek and Victor Narrow Gauge Railway is the train ride for you. This beautiful four-mile trip takes riders back to the gold mining days of the past and is the only pet-friendly scenic train in the area. Hear the history of Cripple Creek and Victor, Colorado on this 45-minute ride through the once-booming gold mine region.

Royal Gorge Route Railroad

In 1999, the Royal Gorge Route Railroad brought the tradition of railway fine dining back to Colorado. Nearly 20 years later, they offer exquisite dining onboard for every meal and special events, such as their extremely popular Murder Mystery Dinners. The train ride itself traverses the rugged Grand Canyon of the Arkansas River, known as the Royal Gorge. The breathtaking natural scenery and man-made marvels, such as the famous hanging bridge, combine with great food to make this one of the most popular scenic trains in Colorado.

No matter which scenic train ride you take, the breathtaking natural beauty and nostalgia of the rails are perfect for Spring Break or any time of year. After a fun excursion on the tracks, you’ll still have plenty of time for an evening meal or relaxing drink before retiring to your room at Cheyenne Mountain Resort.
