The Emma Crawford Coffin Races and Parade is one of the more unique Halloween events in Colorado Springs this October 24th. Enjoy a parade of coffins and authentic hearses followed by a race that consists of teams pushing coffins across a finish line. The event is followed by an awards ceremony. Where’s Waldo?  In Colorado Springs you may stumble on A LOT of them at the 5th Annual Waldo Waldo 5k this October 17th.  Presented by elope, Inc, participants can dress up like Waldo or Wenda with a costume complete with shirt, hat and funky glasses included with race registration.  Over 3,000 Waldos & Wendas participated in 2014 alone!

Supporting a great cause, money raised through Waldo Waldo benefits local nonprofits that support Waldo Canyon restoration, disaster relief and fire recovery, outdoor activities, and trails and open space maintenance in Colorado Springs and the surrounding community. Since 2012 thousands of participants have dressed as Waldo or Wenda, and raised over $100,000 for local nonprofits such as Rocky Mountain Field Institute, Trails and Open Space Coalition, and the Waldo Canyon Firefighters Relief Fund at Pikes Peak Community Foundation.

This un-timed 5K takes place at the Pioneer Museum and is perfect for people of all-abilities from families, corporate teams, military teams, firefighters, experienced wheelchair users and even community members who were deeply affected by the fires.
