We are incredibly excited to share that Cheyenne Mountain Resort is the 2013 Ride the Rockies finish line! Our resort will be the long-awaited finish to a grueling week-long trek for 2,000 cyclists that begins June 8, 2013 in Telluride, Colorado. Telluride to Colorado Springs
The more than 500-mile ride winds through varying elevations as riders make their way northeast to Colorado Springs on June 15, finishing at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. The schedule for this year’s tour, set to follow an eight city route across the Centennial State, covers anywhere from 46 miles to upwards of 90 miles each day. Riders will ascend three famous mountain passes: Lizard Head, Wolf Creek
and Poncha Pass as well as take on Royal Gorge Bridge, the highest
suspension bridge in the United States, on their way to Colorado Springs!
This annual Colorado bike ride tour is presented by The Denver Post with proceeds from the event going to The Denver Post Community Foundation which provides direct funding to Colorado nonprofits. For additional information, visit the 2013 Ride the Rockies website.
