There are a lot of great places to catch live music in the Pikes Peak area. Depending on what you’re looking for in a night of music, here are some of the best venues for live music in Colorado Springs.
Where to Enjoy Concerts in Colorado Springs
The Loft Music Venue
This airy, stylish space with ceiling beams and exposed brick is a stop for many live acts, but it’s especially well-known for its swing dance nights, often complete with a live band. These happen every Wednesday night.
Jives Coffee Lounge
This music and coffee lounge features a small stage and an intimate vibe. Small, little-known acts often take the stage, so there’s a chance to see burgeoning talent – upcoming shows include Jason D. Thompson on September 20 and Kate Merrill on September 30. Jives Coffee Lounge also hosts open mic nights every Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The Zodiac is an underground venue where you never know what will be happening. One night there might be a burlesque performance, and the next night might involve open mic, karaoke, or feature a local musician. Meanwhile, featured drinks are inspired by the different signs of the zodiac.
Pikes Peak Center
Concerts at Pikes Peak Center boast great acoustics for fantastic live sound. This is a large entertainment venue that hosts big names -- this October, see Rodney Carrington on the 1st and Tears for Fears on the 5th.
Broadmoor World Arena
The premier event center for concerts in Colorado Springs, Broadmo0re seats over 7,000 people, accommodating stadium shows as well as big-name performances such as Disney on Ice and Cirque du Soleil. Upcoming concerts at Broadmoor World Arena include Disturbed on September 28th.
